De Kleine Griet is the name of the ship commanded by the self-proclaimed Eagle of the North, Captain Wim van der Vaart. De Kleine Griet's main purpose is to transport cargo and trade for the well-known VOC. But Captain van der Vaart's main purpose is to explore the world. De Kleine Griet is not just a ship. It's her crew, it's her family who live among the old planks and it's her travels.

The Prince and the Girl goes back to June 2003. The investigation into Mabel's background is in full swing, including her friendships with men such as the criminal Klaas Bruinsma and Mohammed Sacirbey, a Bosnian politician imprisoned in the US on suspicion of gambling away development funds. During this period, Prime Minister Balkenende has four conversations with Friso and Mabel, and the pressure on the couple to tell the truth grows ever greater. Until finally, they themselves no longer know what the truth is and find themselves falling from one uncertainty into another.

The fairy tale of the little mermaid begins on a beautiful day when, during a sudden, violent storm, the prince's ship is wrecked with all hands lost. She thinks this is the perfect opportunity to find a husband for her stupid and ugly daughter. The sea witch devises a wicked plan to keep the little mermaid and the handsome prince apart. Will the sea witch succeed, or will true love prevail?
